Dr. Patel is our orthodontist at our Decatur and Champaign offices and has been with Familia Dental since 2019. He enjoys working with our young patients, and he feels extremely fortunate that as an orthodontist he gets to watch his patients grow from teenagers into young confident adults.

Dr. Patel attended Auburn University for his undergrad before going on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine. He then pursued and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Louisville. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association® and the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Patel went one step further and became a Board Certified Orthodontist, an accomplishment that very few orthodontists in the U.S. hold.

A doting dog father to a golden retriever and a bourbon enthusiast, Dr. Patel also intends to visit all 50 states. At present he has visited 43 states — ask him about them at your next appointment!
